Apply for a Personalised Octopus and enjoy a HK$20 handling fee waiver!

We want to keep in touch with more of our customers, and provide a way for them to check their transaction history and recover any stored value in the event that they lose their Octopus. So we are waiving the HK$20 handling fee when you apply for a Personalised Octopus from 1 August 2008 till 31 July 2009 (excluding special-purpose Personalised Octopus for specific groups such as students, corporate staff and those using it for access control at residential and commercial buildings). Personalised Octopus is designed for all age groups, with your name printed on the back. You can also opt to include your photo as well, giving your card a distinctive identity.

To apply, simply download the form and submit it to any of the listed service centers.

Personalised Octopus Application Forms can be obtained at:

MTR Customer Service Centres at Quarry Bay (Taikoo Place), Sai Wan Ho, Chai Wan, Lai Chi Kok, Kwai Hing, Tai Wo Hau, Diamond Hill, Choi Hung, Lam Tin, Yau Tong and Tung Chung stations
East Rail Customer Services Centres at Hung Hom, Sha Tin, Sheung Shui, Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau stations
Light Rail Customer Services Centres at Ferry Pier Terminus, Leung King, Tai Hing (South), Town Centre, Yuen Long Terminus, Tin Yat, Siu Hong and Tin Shui Wai stations
New World First Ferry Octopus Service Centres at Central Piers 5 & 6

In addition, most of the Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) participating financial institutions also accept applications for Personalised Octopus together with AAVS.

Note:

  • Personalised Octopus with student status have to be applied for through schools or at the customer service centres of MTR at designated stations. Please note that applications and special offers are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the respective companies.
  • East Rail Customer Services Centres, West Rail Tsuen Wan West and Kam Sheung Road Customer Services Centres and New World First Ferry Octopus Service Centres do not process the application of Personalised Octopus with student status.
  • The application fee for a Personalised Octopus is HK$100 which includes a deposit of HK$50, an initial stored value of HK$30 and a handling fee of HK$20. Customers who apply for a Personalised Octopus during the above promotion period can enjoy a waiver of the HK$20 handling fee. The HK$20 handling fee will be waived and encoded together with the HK$30 initial stored value on the Personalised Octopus, i.e. a total initial stored value of HK$50.
